Ah, Roz, I write with eyes filled with tears as I don't understand anything anymore--and I certainly can identify with the vicar you mention. In the McQuiston book I use almost daily, in discussing humility he says, "The third stage ofhumility is to accept our limitations, even to death. To accept that there are events outside our control which will control us, and that have ultimate power over us, and that our will will not be done.

just giving in to this is so very hard. Thanks for this post and for the Pieta. I have a small one at home that I cherish.
