The sunlight shining through this chalice of opening whitebeam leaves catches my breath every year - all that folded perfection revealing itself anew makes my spirit rise.
Another thing that makes the spirit soar is the blaze of colour on the flowering cherry tree in a hidden, awkward corner of the garden. You know the place - just where all the plant pots are dumped, so I am not going to show you those! Just the glorious abundance of the blossom - isn't it an amazing colour?
Finally, look who came home with me from an Antique Arcade ramble yesterday - a very old Teddy, only 14 cm high (about 5.5 inches) with instantly winning charm in his night-shirt and night-cap - but, oh dear, he looks has if he has had a "run in" with a not-so-friendly dog!
At only £4.00 ($8.00) he deserved to be rescued - but will now have to spend a little time with his arm in a sling, until he can be repaired appropriately. Anyone got any ideas for cleaning him without immersion?
He is filled with "Excelsior" - wood wool, so a bath would not be a good idea at all. Oh, and he does need a name - any thoughts ??
Creation is the most perfect art of all. And you have captured it beautifully.

Beautiful photos, Roz. This little guy looks like "Mustard" to me or maybe "Tulip" or "Goldenrod." Or little Mr. Sunshine.

Your blossom is lovely, I'm anxiously awaiting mine, no sign of leaves or buds as yet.
Teddy is rather sweet, and with that outfit on, and bearing in mind his size.. I think he might suit being called 'Wee Willie'..!

We're getting a day of spring here and there but it looks like you are ahead of us.
Love the teddy, depending on how you repair the hand he could be Captain Hook .

Love the flowers pictures and all the rest too.
Your Teddy could be sprinkled with baking soda then gently vacuumed using the vacuum hose (do you call them "Hoovers" over there in the UK?)
If you put something like nylon net over the end of the hose, secured with a rubber band, it will be prevent the clothing from getting sucked up. Vacuuming old felt objects like hats works to get rid of both dust and odors like smoke.

Gorgeous photos! I love the cherry blossoms! Such a cute little bear! I like Fran's suggestion of Wee Willie for the name. Wasn't he the one in Mother Goose Rhymes who "ran though the town, upstairs and downstairs in his nightgown?"
