For those of you who loved BBC2's gem of a series "Tales from The Green Valley" in 2005, here is another six part series that promises to be unmissable. The Victorian Farm begins here tomorrow, again on BBC2, at 9pm.
One of the main participants, Alex Langlands - who is also studying (for a PhD) at the same University as me, has kindly given me permission to show you these images from what promises to be another engrossing and well researched series. I can't wait - don't miss it! - and I'll report back after the first programme.
Thanks for letting me know about this Roz, nice to hear from you again. I already have the series on the planner for tomorrow and am really looking forward to it.

Thanks for that Roz, I'll certainly be glued to the screen. I'm off out tomorrow to buy some paper to have an attempt at making my first book. Will let you know how I get on, Margaret

I will be with Darla on that flight to be there in time for the program and a cup of tea. Well, we can wish. Can't we? It will be a while before we receive the program on our Houston PBS. I love those shows. Do they show the ones made in the U.S. on the BBC?

The Video is only available in the UK. Drat the luck. I'll keep my eyes open for it to come on our PBS (public TV) in the future.

We saw all the BBC shows with these folks but Tales from the Green Valley just stays with us the most...so hauntingly beautiful. (I have Stuart Peachey's book, and love that as well. We love that era, and our little 18thc. home in New England is furnished with 17thc. English things!
