And my first thought, before reading, was "Wow! Roz has stumbled across some more amazing antiques bargains!". But of course Venetian glass and the cats could be a bit awkward. For the cats!
I had an elderly cousin who was a reknowned collector of 17th c. American antiques and a great cat lover. We used to cringe as the cats would leap onto the mantels or the tea table and pick their way through rare ornaments, occasionally having an unfortunate collision with something irreplaceable. She said she cared more about the cats, in any case.
