18th Century fireplace in the small sitting room - Scandinavian nisse cavorting on the mantelpiece
Busy, busy - it's that time of the year - so I'm just sharing pictures and not a lot of words today, of the decorations as they go up here at the cottage. Greetings of the season to all of you - I'm feeling festive already!
Red glass tealight holders beneath my favorite picture
Ceramic pyramid with box sprigs..(and oh, how I would love to fill the whole house with pyramids in the style of Old Williamsburg!)
It is clear what season it is, and it's so pleasant and cosy. You have wonderful spaces to decorate- a 200+ year old fireplace!

Looking at your decorations gives me some Christmas Cheer. The Green Man looks quite festive.

So charming and inviting and cozy. Love that fireplace - divine. Take a break and have a sip of "something".

This year you surely have help decorating, right? And a cuppa in front of that fireplace - even if it's not lit - would be devine. Did you make the pyramid yourself? Or did it come stacked like that?

LOVE the Green Man with his way cool headdress!
And the fireplace? Oh, swoon worthy. Such beautiful age and grace.
But ... the best? You have nisse! My Norwegian roots are happy!

Looks wonderful and --I hate to be redundant, but--cozy! I like to decorate a lot but this year have been so busy and a little unwell....so we're going light this year. Now I think I'll have a cup of tea! :)

Oh, Roz, what I wouldn't give to be there with you right now. Juliette would love to play and discover all the lovelies in your home. One day that long chat over a cup of tea will happen!
