Oh my GOSH! I wish I'd been there! LOVELY photos, Roz! Love the Green Men.
A few years ago Jesse and I went to a very similar Christmas market in Chicago (an annual event) at which I bought the best stollen I've ever put in my mouth. VERY like this, with vendors from all over the world.

The berry wreaths and hand-carved Green Men!!! The lights over the street, which remind me of the design of the charming cut paper banners in Mexico... the church with highlights lit. All so beautiful.

Dear Roz,

I am a silent reader of your blog. I am always delighted with your pictures and your beautiful home. Winchester Cathedral at night is wonderful!
Season's Greetings!

Oh what a wonderful tour. I truly love those Green Men. Happy holidays to all!

Thank You for bringing me there. The berry wreaths and cathedral statutes, the lights in the trees and around the stalls;and the weather isn't too bad. Here we are freezing in tons of snow as we approach a lunar eclipse on the Winter Solstice, tuesday.

Hello Roz, I'm usually a silent (but appreciative reader) as well. Merry Christmas and the best to you in the New Year.

Your photographs are lovely! When I read (and look) at your blog, I am filled with a sense of peace and serenity. I live in Florida in a fairly large city so while I love my little home and the neighborhood, I miss the peace of the countryside and even the cold weather. Although there is hustle and bustle in these photos, the scenes still seem peaceful when compared to shopping malls! My parents were English and for many years I was able to visit there on a regular basis, your blog always brings me back!

It's so different, to have Christmas in winter and with snow. The atmosphere is very "Christmas". We have beach party and garage sales here in Sydney instead.

Beautiful photos Roz, thanks for sharing the atmosphere....
