I'm so terribly sorry to read this, Roz. I wish this wouldn't be true. I know though she was loved and cared about and returned all her love. Take care.

Saw this from Jamie, there are two of us now. Sweet kitty, sorry for your loss. Beautiful words, few though they were, through your tears.

Beth

Oh, Roz... what to say? I am so sorry. Crying for you, and for your beautiful Lissie.

Much love, from me and 'im indoors

I'm really so sorry , Roz. As long as we do not forget them, the beloved ones, shall always remain in our heart.

Oh, no! I'm so so sorry to hear this. I've been negligent in checking many blogs that I love to read and I thought it was time to check in with you...again, so so sorry.

I had to put my eldest cat, Apu, down in June at the age of 15. I can only imagine how hard it was to make that decision over the phone and with no time to take it all in. You are in my thoughts.

So sorry Roz - she is so beautiful. They all die on us and they have their own minds. Some we lose and it is harder.

I have a cat fence in system in the backyard so they can be outside with me in the garden but cannot leave the yard. There are a lot of problems to solve with it and it is not cheap but for us cat lovers - it is the way to have them with us outside and yet keep them safe. I had to learn this the hard way when I found out the people next door liked hurting small animals. If you, far in the future, ever get it -- email me if you have problems.

You have many people who love you and all the beauty you share with us. May their love buffer you from the pain.

I'm so sorry to see that this lovely creature is no more. I had been a fan of hers for many years, and even named my long haired, black & white kitty, Lissie, after her. There are no words, nothing will suffice. I'm so sorry and wish you peace, knowing what a happy life Lissie clearly had. RIP, most beloved kitty.

Roz Cawley

Thank you so much, April and everyone else, for your very, very kind and loving words, which have truly been a strength and support over the last couple of days. They are deeply appreciated.

I'm very sorry to read this. I know how hard it is to lose a pet, I lost my cat, Abby (16), in May. At least I had time to make that difficult decision, it must have been much harder for you. Best wishes.
