I've heard that Marlborough is a good town for antiquing. And is a 'residential militia court' housing for officers and their families? What a wonderful range of architecture from several centuries! The Hyde family certainly had a dreadful late winter in 1626. Thanks for including so many images from your day trip! It's a great place to wander about. The Silk Merchant's house must have had particular interest for you.
