Hanging baskets on Newbury Town Bridge
Well, The end of A Month In The Country once again! This month has flown past - the Cottage is already very gently slipping down into Autumn after the downpours and heat waves of August. There was a circle of leaves beneath the apple tree this morning, and there is a very decided chill in the air tonight.
To all of you who have read these postings during August 2019 - a very sincere thank you; for all the 'likes', for all the Facebook comments, and for all the comments left on the blog,. Thank you to those of you who have said that you are 'working through the prompts' - and thank you to those who have sent personal messages that have made me both laugh and have a little tear.
I hope you have enjoyed some of the stories, some of the pictures, and some of the ideas to try out in your journals (and in your life!). For myself, I have found your responses heart warming; I think everyone who writes a blog would agree that each and every response is appreciated - it lets us know what we are alive and being heard!
As I ALWAYS intend - I hope to keep in touch with you all through more regular posts. I have one or two adventures coming up, which I will look forward to sharing with you - but for now, I wish you all a beautiful Autumn (or Springtime!) wherever you are - and please... keep in touch, my friends.
Journal Prompt - Have you got any 'thank you's' that you would like to say? Write them out in your journal. They don't have to be sent - if the addressee is far away, out of your life, or deceased you may not be able to send them - but that does not matter. There is value in the saying of it anyway.
Roz, I have so enjoyed a month in the country and hate to see it end.August has been a hectic month but I have done some of the prompts and plan to go back and redo the ones I either rushed or missed.Thank you for these . They have been an inspiration.

I've loved your daily posts this month. While the month has been hectic, I knew I could always check in here and see something that made me smile or brought a momentary remembrance that warmed my heart. Thanks for sharing your cottage doings. Sending hugs.
