Fledgeling blue-tit being fed by 'Mum'
Despite the wet, cold, windy early summer that we are having, enough baby birds seem to be surviving to start visiting the feeders here. These fledgeling blue-tits have started visiting and, wings a-quivering to elicit parental feeding, are now also beginning to 'copy Mum' in their explorations of what the Restaurant feeders at Autumn Cottage have to offer. I hope what they find there - fat balls, seed, peanuts and cheese gives them a good start out on their dangerous journey towards avian adulthood.
'Oh, I *get it* now - hang on like this? and I can have as much as I want? That's LOTS more fun!!'
Love those fat fledglings...I'm sure they adore meals at your feeders!
