Sipping the last of summer

 

So many bees and butterflies drinking deep in the garden at the moment, gathering their energies for the descent into Autumn - always, I find, this is such a poignant time.

Pristine robed innocents -

Lambs in their gaze

 

These young men and women fascinate me. The girls appear so innocent  and the young men solicitous and protective. But who knows what thoughts pass through all their minds at this festival - and how will they spend their time after the religious services and procession? For myself, I hope it is in jollity and abandon!
